Arts Umbrella is a non-profit centre for arts education for young people. Since 1979, we have provided the highest quality visual and performing arts education to children and youth ages two to 19, regardless of their economic situation. Scientific research shows that early exposure to arts and access to arts learning has a positive, long-lasting impact on children in many areas of their lives. Our goal has always been to inspire kids for life through the arts. Arts Umbrella has grown from the dream of a few young, artistic parents to a highly respected model for children's arts organizations worldwide. The story of Arts Umbrella is a story of inspiration, determination, hard work, vision, community, generosity, professionalism, and above all, magic. The hope for our world is in these young children who come to us, because they will make the future good and wonderful....That's what it is all about."
